Thank you for believing

You're here at the very beginning of something we care deeply about, and for that, we're already grateful

A note from Chris

want Founder,

My name is Chris, and I want to share a little about the heart behind want.

For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by the power of human connection. In my early 20s, I found immense joy in seeing people click, that spark when they truly find their people, whether in their careers or personal lives.

It's a feeling that has always driven me. But lately, especially since the world shifted post-pandemic, I've felt that something vital about how we connect has been lost. It feels like we're more adrift than ever, searching for something real in a landscape that often offers the opposite.

What I see in many of today's social and dating apps often frustrates me. It feels like we're encouraged into soulless activity, making snap judgments based on a handful of pictures. This superficiality fuels a fear of rejection, making it easier to avoid putting ourselves out there. I hear it all the time: "Am I good enough?" "What if no one talks to me?"

That's why I'm building want.

If I could give you just one feeling when you open want, it would be a sense of soul, community, and safety.

A feeling of being truly seen and heard. A good conversation shouldn't feel hard or forced; it should flow, even if there are awkward moments – because how we approach those moments is what matters. My guiding principle is to create a place where you don't need to be perfect.

A place where we can offer guidance, where you feel comfortable and safe. A place where it's okay to be nervous, and where it's just as okay to know exactly what you want as it is to be open to discovering it.

So, as one of our earliest members, I want you to know this: you are a vital part of this journey.
Your thoughts, your experiences, and your feedback matter now, and they will always matter.

We promise to stay true to the core mission I've outlined. want might not be for everyone, and that's okay.

But if it resonates with you, we will listen, we will learn, and we will remain focused on making it even better, together.

Thank you for believing in the power of real connection.
